The 6 Clairs and Their Clear Meanings

The 6 Clairs of Psychic Abilities
The word “Clair” is a French word that means clear or bright in English. For centuries, it has been used to describe the clarity received by psychics through their extrasensory perceptions, which work through their natural six senses.
A psychic may have one, two, or even all of the clairs in their psychic toolbox of abilities. Regardless of how many, or what combination of the 6 clairs they have, these abilities serve to help the psychic receive information to help their clients with the answers they are seeking.
The 6 Clairs – Clairvoyance
Of the 6 clairs clairvoyance is probably the best known, and the one I see most often when working with others to develop their natural psychic abilities. Clairvoyance means clear seeing, so a clairvoyant psychic sees the information they receive in their mind’s eye.
The information the psychic receives from clairvoyance may come in single pictures one after another, or the information may be received in fast-moving frames or scenes more like a sped-up movie reel.
The 6 Clairs – Clairaudience
Clairaudience means clear hearing so a clairaudient psychic hears the information they receive. They may hear words, names, phrases, or even complete sentences related to the situation they are tuning in to.
Of the 6 clairs, clairaudience is a common one that I have helped a lot of psychics fully develop in my 8-week psychic medium development program, and one of the easiest to gain confidence with using.
The 6 Clairs – Clairsentience
Clairsentience means clear feeling. It is the psychic ability that may sometimes be a little more difficult to pinpoint among the other clairs as it may be so second nature to a psychic that is not as pronounced, or as paid attention to.
You may hear someone who is clairsentient say things like, “I just had a feeling I should choose the second option.”, or “I just had a feeling I should turn right instead of left.”, or when talking to a client, they may say things like, ” I don’t feel good about the first job you are applying for. It doesn’t feel like the right fit.”
People who have the psychic ability of clairsentience may often get goosebumps associated with the information they receive, especially when some important truth has been revealed.

The 6 Clairs – Claircognizance
Of the 6 clairs, claircognizance may be the hardest for psychics to gain confidence with as they begin their journey of developing their natural psychic abilities. Claircognizance means clear knowing.
Claircognizance comes as sort of a download of information that comes out of nowhere. Since the source is harder to trace to one of the actual senses, the beginner psychic may wonder if they just “made up” the information rather than received it.
You may hear a psychic with this ability say things like “I don’t know how I know, I just know.”, or “I know this job will turn out to the one that furthers your career.”
The 6 Clairs – Clairgustance
Clairgustance means clear tasting. This can sometimes be a fun one! An example of clairgustance in action is a medium who also has this psychic ability may actually taste their client’s grandmother’s apple pie! Another instance of this ability in action is tasting cigar or cigarette smoke when talking to a client who smokes.
There is no denying the information when you suddenly start tasting something out of nowhere!
The 6 Clairs – Clairalience
And finally, the last of the 6 clairs, clairalience which means clear smelling. It can also be a fun one, as there is also no denying a smell that just shows up out of the blue!
Similiar to clairgustance, grandma’s apple pie may be smelled in the case of receiving through this fun ability rather than tasted!
These clair abilities may be used on their own in psychic readings, but they also may be used in conjunction with mediumship abilities in order to receive information related to those who are no longer living.
