The term “intuitive psychic” has become more common in the past few years. The mainstream of YouTube feeds us an ever-budding variety of psychics, tarot readers, and mediums, so I’ve seen distinctions emerge among types of spiritual workers. From empathic light workers to sound healers, many in the metaphysical and reader industry seek to delineate their specific talents beyond the generic psychic or reader.
Thus, the term “intuitive psychic” has emerged as one of those areas of speciality that psychics use in an attempt to garner clients. Yet, with this specificity comes, at times, added confusion. Potential clients are sometimes confused as to why they should work with a psychic or an intuitive.

Question: What’s an intuitive psychic?
Answer: An intuitive psychic uses intuition to guide how he or she interprets received messages. It’s most often seen in tarot readers. Some readers look at the cards and state the meaning as they learned it from a book or other interpretive source. Intuitive readers do the same thing, but they will often throw out the “book” interpretation and acquiesce to a gut feeling or flash of insight.
Question: Aren’t all psychics intuitive psychics?
Answer: No, all psychics are not intuitive psychics, just like all psychics do not practice mediumship. They can co-exist, but not necessarily.
Question: Is there a difference between a psychic and an intuitive psychic?
Answer: More often than not, they are the same. However, if a psychic specifically states he or she is an “intuitive psychic,” he or she is letting you know that intuition is going to be a major part of any reading they give you.

For example, I had a love interest who came into my life not long after my husband passed. Once I had a client who wanted to know why someone stopped communicating after they had created quite a relationship. Her son had become connected to a man who had visited and been a part of their lives. Suddenly, no communication. Of course as a mom, she wanted to know how to navigate this not just for her self, but for her kiddo.
We were able to tune into him and realize that he had barriers. Over the course of the reading we were able to determine that financial reasons were keeping him tied to another person. Did he have feelings for my client? Definitely. Was he planning on continuing to act on them. Not likely.
She shifted her focus then to supporting her son and not on the relationship. As it turned out. He never came forward in her life again.

This is kind of like determining if you are really hungry or not. Your stomach may not be growling, but that pie slice looks mighty good.
