The Schumann Resonance: 4 Questions Answered for You Today

The Schumann's Resonance showing up

Recently, in one of my social feeds, posts about the Schumann Resonance kept coming forward. In reading the comments of those posts, I realized there are several basic questions that need to be answered if one is to understand the significance of this phenomenon. The questions generally run from, “What is it?” to “Why should I care?”

The truth is that it is a natural phenomenon of which we are actually intimately aware. But we may not know we are aware of it. It is as natural a part of our world as breathing. So, it makes sense that if it changes or surges or doesn’t, it could affect how we feel and therefore function. Thus, what follows is a brief explanation of the Schumann Resonance.

What Is the Schumann Resonance?

Many of us have learned to intentionally seek peace and clarity. Part of the feeling of peace and clarity comes from our bodies’ tuning into the natural resonance with the Earth’s magnetic field. Did you realize that? We are not aware of the magnetic field because we’ve been exposed to it since birth. We’ve integrated it into our normal feelings. At a frequency of 7.83 Hz, our human alpha brainwaves (associated with clarity and relaxation) regularly accept and align with what many call “the earth’s heartbeat.” This is the Schumann Resonance.

Although sometimes called a “pseudoscience,” Schumann Resonance tracking has existed since 1952 when physicist Winfried Otto Schumann discovered it. He measured the frequency of it and how it charged the ionosphere. Within this, he determined a baseline frequency of 7.83 Hz. This baseline it the one at which we live and breathe and sleep and function regularly.

Grounding with the Schumann Resonance

How or Why Does the Schumann Resonance Affect Humans?

The Schumann Resonance can fluctuate. Since earthly lightning strikes and sun solar flares are also magnetic, logically earthly lightning strikes and solar flares are two common disrupters of that frequency. If one considers that we have “felt” and been in alignment with the Schumann Resonance since birth, or possibly before birth, any major or long-term adjustment to what we are used to could logically be felt physically. There is also some evidence that earthquakes and volcanic disruptions also affect the ionosphere and perhaps then the Schumann Resonance.

If we remember that the human brain is comfortable with the “regular” resonance, then being in alignment with that common resonance could mean better sleep. As a result of better sleep or not, the Schumann Resonance alignment brings better concentration and lower blood pressure. Stress is lower when we are in alignment with it. And there is some evidence that it promotes better wound healing.

If you’ve ever seen The Matrix, you know that the human body is a great creator and conductor of electricity. We need to ground ourselves from time to time by connecting to the electricity of the Earth by going into nature. Hugging a tree can instantly connect you to that grounding electricity between you and the Earth. That is the same as correlating yourself with the Schumann Resonance. When you ground, you become a part of that electrical system.

Spiritual Effects of the Schumann Resonance

What is the Spiritual Effect of the Schumann Resonance?

If we are in alignment with the resonance, and the resonance is within its normal range, we are more able to align spiritually. Meditation is easier and lasts longer. Relaxation is achieved faster. Our thinking is clearer. I would dare say that traffic seems better, because people are less agitated. There are any number of correlations that one could attribute to the Schumann resonance being within normal or not in normal range. Most people, however, are unaware of its effect and unaware of its fluctuations.

What Do I Do When the Schumann Resonance Is Way Out of Range?

First of all, acknowledge it. Be aware that you may feel disconnected from various aspects of your life just because you are disconnected from the baseline frequency you are used to. You may need more sleep. You may find certain foods are no longer appetizing. You may not want to eat at all. All of that is fine. Drink extra spring water.

Second, remain as still internally as possible and observe the effects around you. Watch for people to react uncharacteristically excitedly to things. Your awareness of the spikes and their possible correlation to people feeling agitated by them can prevent you from being caught up in a ruckus you don’t want.

Can I Harness the Power of the Schumann Resonance?

Meditation is one of the easiest ways to connect to the Schumman Resonance. By imagining the Earth’s energy is flowing through you, you can begin to feel its flow. Add to that a sound bath with a frequency of 7.83 Hz will amplify its signal. One can also find sound baths and sound devices that provide music and tones at the same frequency.

While information about Schumann’s Resonance may pop into in your social media feeds from time to time, it is a phenomenon that may hold a fascinating influence over our physical and spiritual well-being. Regardless of whether you believe in its influence or not, it is a gentle reminder that we are interconnected with the natural world. Allow it to offer you an opportunity for healing and restoration.
