3 Quick Meditations to Protect Your Energy

Have you ever felt incredibly drained after being around or speaking to certain people? Hell, even just hearing their name? Have you found yourself in need of a revitalizing nap within moments of leaving specific environments? You aren’t alone. Meditation to protect your energy is a beneficial tool for your arsenal!

Before I learned I needed to better protect my energy, I felt perpetually wiped out but had no clue why. Up until about ten years ago, I thought it was some undiagnosed iron deficiency. Nope! It turns out my energy was attracting all sorts of spirits/entities and energies that wanted to hang out with it or take it for themselves. Have you ever heard the phrase “Energy vampire?” Essentially, a person that increases their energy by taking other people’s. Yes, spirits/entities can do it too!

Thankfully, there are so many great tools available to protect yourself–meditation being one of them. Not only is this practice superb for calming and grounding oneself, but these quick meditations I created can positively aid in how you move about your day.

No matter what kind of verbiage you choose, your intention speaks volumes. Not only does mediation or prayer help raise the vibration of the earth(which is very much needed), but it raises your vibration, too—protecting yourself and raising the vibration? Sounds like a win.

 Meditation for grounding

I do two quick meditations before I head out of the door in the morning, and the third is done when I get into my car. I’m usually rushing (who isn’t?), so I say them as I prepare for the day. When I don’t hit snooze several times, I sit in my comfy chair to meditate. Do your best to get into a calm state before you start: Take a deep, slow breath through your nose, hold it for a moment, and then slowly out through your mouth. Repeat as many times as needed to get you into a calm zone. Regardless of my being seated or standing, my feet are always planted firmly on the floor for the first meditation:

For the second one, if you can visualize a white or gold light around your body, I applaud you. As for me and my ability to visualize on command, we are still working on a compromise that doesn’t involve black-and-white cows and strobe lights. Yes, as a psychic medium who can see spirits and entities essentially in 3-D, visualization on command continues to evade me. I’m working on it and often have a good laugh about it with my mom.

“I surround myself with the strongest bright white light of protection. Its strength radiates 10′ from my body. Dark and negative energies and entities are repelled by it; higher vibrational beings recognize and feel my intentions. I surround my family, friends, and loved ones in this white light as they move and travel throughout their day. Get them home or to the destination of their choice safely. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

The third meditation is said after I get in my car, but before I put it in ‘drive.’ I am in my vehicle a lot, and some of the maneuvers I’ve witnessed on these SF Bay Area freeways and highways have left me slack-jawed and with my head tilted to the side, wondering if I imagined the entire scene. 580 and 880, I’m looking at you. The words may not always be exactly how I word them below, exhibit A, but the sentiment and intention never change.

“I surround ODB (substitute your transportation’s name) in the white light of protection. Keep us safe wherever we go, to and fro, get us to our destination, and bring us home safely. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

When that magical time of day comes, when I turn onto my street and park in front of my home, I always thank the Universe as I walk through the threshold: “Thank you, thank you, thank you for getting me home and through my door safely.” It can get chaotic in all senses of the word out there, so being able to return to my space with its positive energy and a beautifully scented candle or incense ready to be lit is comforting.

I’m a shower-at-the-end-of-day type of person. I want to wash away any possible energy or emotions I’ve picked up being in the world that will hinder my relaxation. While soaping up, I say, “As I wash my body and the soap and water go down the drain, so goes all the energy and emotions of those I may have picked up today. Send them back to whom they belong with compassion and love, and return all of my energy to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

These three meditations and my evening shower meditation have undoubtedly assisted me in protecting my energy as I move through this dimension daily. I welcome you to use what I’ve come up with or tweak it as you see fit to make it your own and practice it so that it becomes second nature.
